An Abundant Pool of Talented Workers in Valley City
According to the 2008 Valley City Workforce study, Valley City, Barnes County and surrounding areas offer a sizeable labor pool of talent that possesses considerable skills, education and a strong work ethic. Area employers reported overall workforce quality as “very good to excellent” across the board with overall satisfaction of VCSU graduates high, “95% satisfied and very satisfied”.
- The study documented that "overall labor availability is considered excellent”
- Around 175 "technology-rich" college students graduate each year, with about 50 of those concentrating in computer and management information systems, accounting, networking, vocational and technical education, business software applications, problem solving, communication and human resources.
