- Serves over 32,000 accounts in 8 counties.

- Water treatment plant capacity - 4 million gallons per day.
- Pumping capacity - 3.5 million gallons per day.
- Excess capacity - 3 million gallons per day.
Barnes Rural Water Users, Inc.
- Draws water from the Spiritwood Aquifer at Urbana, ND to serve over 1,050 accounts in 10 cities.
- Annual water consumption is 72 million gallons.
- Provided by Montana-Dakota Utilities; competitive rates are negotiable for large users.
- Sourced from Williams Pipeline.
Owned and operated by the City of Valley City.
- Sanitation/sewer services provided through 120 acres of lagoon cells and 10 lift stations.
- Over 192 million gallons of holding capacity over 6 months.
- Present load is one million gallons per day.
- Excess capacity is 10 to 12 million gallons over 6 months.
- Transfer station.
